My oldest granddaughter, Rebecca, wanted an amigurumi giraffe for Christmas (they made their lists earlier this year when they were here), so we cruised through Pinterest and she found one that she fell in love with. I named her Jill.
Jill was made with Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton and a size F hook and is about 9 inches tall when finished.
I did make one modification to the pattern, for round 6 of the nose I did (sc, 1 decrease) x 6 for a total of 18 stitches in order for her nose to not be so large. Other than that minor change, the pattern was very well written and I would certainly make another giraffe.
Don’t worry, I’m not letting the proverbial cat out of the bag – the girls were here at Thanksgiving and we had our Christmas then 🙂
