I had grand hope of having a much better selection of handcrafted crochet items in my store by now – but I’ve had to take time out to build a decent inventory and my day job has just gotten in the way this year!
Now, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been busy creating wonderful things because I have. It just means that until after the first of the year nothing new will be added to the store – so please stay tuned!
If you’ve been to my site before, you’ll notice that things sure look different now! One of the things that I had to do was buy a new theme and incorporate it into the content that was already here. Doesn’t sound like a big deal now does it? But in fact it’s taken me nearly a month to get everything the way I want it and to make sure that it displays the same way in all of the various browsers – that is a huge task and the reason that I had to switch themes to begin with! I’m still not 100% certain that I have everything just the way I want it – but I have to step back and let things ride for awhile – there could be more changes over the next couple of months….they just won’t be quite so drastic.
I have been making the most lovely Fantirumi (Fantasy Amigurumi) from patterns designed by a Dutch designer by the name of Esther Emaar of Crochessie. Esther offers both paid and free patterns and I’ve been delighted by them all so far, so you will see several of the finished items for sale in my shop after the first of the year. You can read about one of her designs, Witchy here in my What’s on My Hook section. You can visit Esther’s website, House of Creations – but you MUST do so using Google Chrome and install the Translator add-in because her site is in Dutch – here is the link to House of Creations.
I just thought I would give you a little update as to what’s going on behind the scenes here.
I would also appreciate your feedback on the new look of the site – good, bad or indifferent. If you’d rather not leave a public comment, feel free to use the Contact Us page.
