Another knitting project! I guess you could say I’m totally addicted now LOL. I really am fascinated by knitting and the intricate lace designs that I see – knitting is so much more delicate looking than crochet

Octavia the Octopus is a free crochet amigurumi pattern available from http://www.yarnspirations.com and while the finished amigurumi is really quite lovely I found several flaws in the pattern itself, which was quite disappointing.

One of the things that attracted me most to the Fantirumi (Fantasy Amigurumi) dolls that I’ve been making lately that are designed by Esther Emaar/CrochEssie of House of Creations is that their faces are just so detailed and lifelike. There are several reasons that the faces of these amigurumi are so much more human looking is the fact that each Fantirumi that she designs has the most incredible, thick eyelashes – it’s just that final finishing touch that sets them apart from other amigurumi dolls that I’ve seen.
So, as I’ve been making these Fantirumi, I’ve tried different methods for creating eyelashes.

Tassey is another absolutely adorable Fantirumi (Fantasy Amigurumi) designed by Esther Emaar of Crochessie/House of Creations. Tassey is a paid pattern (roughly $5.50 American) and is currently only available in Dutch, but the English version will be available soon.
